Veterans young and old you are invited to join INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, AMERICAN LEGION POST 424. By joining you will help preserve the Veterans Benefits you are entitled to. Unfortunately up to 1500 World War II Vets. are dying every day. We need our younger Vets to carry on.
Any active duty personnel that served in the military (including the National Guard and Reserve) for at least one day during the defined eligibility dates.

Panama, December 20, 1989 - January 31, 1990.
Grenada & Lebanon, August 24, 1982 - July 31,
1984.
Vietnam, February 28, 1961 - May 7, 1975.
Korea, June 25, 1950 - January 31, 1955.
WWII, December 7, 1941 - December 31, 1946.
WWI, April 6, 1917 - November 11, 1918.

President Bush on 12/02/02 signed a bill to authorize the award of The Korean Defense Medal to all who served in Korea since July 28, 1954.
For the past 3 years TYLER BOHRER has helped his grandpa, a WWII Veteran, place American flags on Veterans graves on all Inver Grove Heights cemeteries. Flags and bronze flag holders are provided by American Legion Post 424. If your Veterans grave was missed please send us an E-mail.

WW II VETERANS DON F. BOHRER, EDWIN SCHINDELDECKER, ERNEST KRECH and HARVEY KROMSCHROEDER are pictured with a WWII Veterans banner which was recently restored and placed back on display at Emanuel Lutheran Church. The stars were embroidered with the names of the 36 men from Emanuel that served in World War II.

On February 11, 2004, Sgt. Jesse Pope of the 134th
Signal Battalion presented a plaque to American Legion Post 424 in appreciation for the generous support provided to families of the134th deployed soldiers. John Holt received the plaque in behalf of the Post.
