AMERICAN LEGION POST 424 donated this truck load of groceries and other needed supplies to the victims of the Granite Falls tornado. Legion members, their spouses and a number of Simley football players traveled by bus to Granite Falls to help unload supplies. Mayor Joe Atkins and Senator Jim Metzen also accompanied the group.
Past Legion Commander AL MILLINCZEK, WIFE ESTHER, JANE BOHRER and GLADYS BYRNE also accompanied the group to GraniteFalls.
This is just one of the hundreds of homes that.was demolished in the Granite Falls tornado. Much of the grounds clean up had been completed.
The streets were filled with rubble and impassable prior to the clean up.
